The Snag List is issued in a PDF format which includes pictures.  WeSnag find that our average Snag List of a 3-bed semi-detached home within New Ross will expect to find between 50 to 150 individual snag items.  The Snag List inspection takes an average of two hours depending on the size of the property and is issued to you within 48 hours after the inspection.

Is snagging really necessary?

Many building experts will say that snagging is more important now than ever before. New house building is at record levels.  Builders are under pressure to complete many houses quickly & new builds in the New Ross area are no different.  There is also a shortage of many skilled trades in the New Ross area, so there’s more potential for things to go wrong.

A snag list should be seen as an additional layer of Quality control.  Human error can involve small, simple cosmetic errors, such as placing a light fitting off-centre, or more fundamental issues, such as failure to provide adequate ventilation to timber framed houses or there can be poor attention to detailing when placing fire-stopping on a party wall.

Whilst it may be attractive to save money and skip the snag list process, WeSnag advises that you avail of professional experience with this type of work.  It is advised that you have your own independent inspection & snag list carried out as it can be difficult to get a builder to return to deal with items that you may only notice once you have taken occupation of the house.
